September 2026 Issue

Welcome to the first monthly newsletter! The team has been working diligently, and we’re proud to announce that the new website, anykidcanbeanything.com, is officially live. Visitors can learn more about our mission, meet the team, explore projects, view upcoming events, and find ways to support our work.
We intend to expand our outreach.
Any Kid Can Be Anything
As part of our outreach efforts, we contacted numerous Los Angeles Public Library branches to introduce our College & Career Readiness workshops and explore possible partnerships. Some branches have responded, and Valley Plaza Branch Library connected us with LAPL’s Youth Services department to discuss bringing our workshops to more locations.
Our next free College & Career Readiness Workshop will take place at the Valley Plaza Branch Library on October 3 from 2:00–3:00 p.m. The workshop is open to youth ages 11–19 and their parents or guardians. To ensure every qualified student deserves to attend the institution of their choosing, regardless of financial background, our organization strives to equally educate all participants. Participants will learn about postsecondary educational pathways, training and education requirements for different careers, goal setting, future planning, and the college application process.
Meet Our New Team Members
Furthermore, we are excited to welcome three new members to our team. Ani Martikyan has joined as our Finance and Development Coordinator and will oversee financial records while helping with fundraisers, sponsorships, and funding opportunities. Evo Llamas has joined as our Graphic Designer and will work with Creative Media Director Lilia Abrahamyan to create promotional materials and strengthen the organization’s visual identity. Anya Mooradian has joined as our Newsletter Writer and will write articles pertaining scholarships, college, careers, and student resources.
Our team’s diligent efforts resulted in recent accomplishments including launching our website, holding the second College & Career Readiness Workshop, reaching out to 15 library branches, connecting with LAPL’s Youth Services department, preparing for our October workshop, growing our fundraising plans, and welcoming three new team members. We are proud of our progress and look forward to reaching more students and families.
Also, we are strengthening our fundraising and development efforts to support future workshops, community projects, educational materials, and student resources. As we plan to expand our organization, the updated website offers supporters an easy way to contribute through the donation tab on our website. We plan to explore fundraisers, sponsorships, and other funding opportunities.
We would be honored if students and family attend our free, upcoming event on October 3rd, 2026, made possible by the Valley Plaza Branch Library and the team. More information regarding postsecondary educational pathways, financing a student’s education, and additional insider tips, will be made available at the event. Please visit the home page for details.
