Yuridia is the Event Coordinator for Any Kid Can Be Anything, where she plans and creates workshops that help students understand topics they may find confusing. As a first-generation college student with immigrant parents from Mexico, she understands what it feels like to be lost or unsure where to find help. She knows how difficult it can be to ask for support when you feel expected to already know everything. Yuridia joined the organization to support students who may feel behind, just as she once did. She loves advocating for students’ needs and believes every child deserves the best education possible. Outside of work, she enjoys taking pictures with her camera and eating tortas de milanesa. She currently attends California State University, Long Beach, majoring in Liberal Studies to become a high school teacher.
